Information about the Telford Balloon Fiesta 2021.
Telford Balloon Fiesta is back!
Three days of free family fun and entertainment:
- Friday 27 August 2021 12noon - 7pm
- Saturday 28 August 2021 12noon - 9pm
- Sunday 29 August 2021 12noon - 7pm.
- Balloon launches are weather/wind dependant.
- Friday Balloon launches approximately 6pm.
- Saturday Balloon launches approximately 6am and 6pm - Night Glow approximately 8.45pm.
- Sunday Balloon launches 6am and 6pm event to close at 7pm.
- Street food and bars all weekend.

- Street entertainment.
- Visit from Trolls - Poppy and Branch and Iggle and Uppsy from Night Garden.
- Free Crazy Golf.
- Children’s Fair Rides.
- Evening Balloon Launch - weather dependant 6pm.
- Family Stage Show - 12noon - 4pm.
- Two bands - Effervescent 5pm - 5.45pm and Loose Lips 6pm - 7pm.
- Donkey rides.

Come and see Telford's skies filled with balloons of all shapes and sizes and Balloon Tethering within the QE11 Arena during Saturday and Sunday.

Covid-Safety requirements
- Take regular Covid-19 tests.
- Do not attend the event if you feel unwell.
- Do not attend the event if you have been advised to isolate.
- Numbers attending will be closely monitored during the event during some peak times some areas will be subject to maximum numbers.
- Sanitation stations will be placed around the event.
- QR codes for track and trace will be located around the inner event space.
Parking
- Dark Lane car-park is only open for customers of Exotic Zoo and/or Wonderland only. Parking charges apply.
- Parking for the event is available at Telford Shopping Centre Car Parks TF3 4BX and Southwater Multi Story Car Park TF3 4EJ.
- Free of charge parking is also available at Addenbrooke House, TF3 4NT and Darby House, TF3 4JA Council Car Parks a 15 min walk from the event.

Accessibility information
Telford & Wrekin Council events team do our utmost to ensure that neither by action nor inaction, will any individual or group be reasonably excluded from any events we organize. The venue is easily accessible for visitors with mobility difficulties and accessibility needs.
Access and Parking: The event is situated in Telford Town Park which has broad smooth paths suitable for electric and pedestrian powered wheelchairs. The nearest disabled parking for the event is at Telford International Centre Multi Story TF3 4JQ with access to the upper and lower areas of the main event arena. Please note: the main TIC carpark will not be open for Balloon Fiesta visitors.
There will be a wheelchair user viewing area overlooking the main event arena ensuring reasonable views for those who have to remain seated.
Distances:
- Telford International Centre Multi Story is 50 metres away from the main event arena.
- From the lower arena to upper event area is 185 metres up a slight incline.
- The event is 350 metres away from Southwater and Telford Shopping Centre
Accessible Toilets: Wheelchair accessible, temporary toilets are provided throughout the event area, with at least one at every block of Portaloos There is a permanent disabled toilet in the town park visitor centre and a “Changing Places” Facility with hoist and bed at SW1 library, 350 metres from the event arena. Opening hours for SW1 are 9am – 5pm. Access to the Changing places facility outside these hours can be arranged by contacting an event steward.
Assistance Dogs: All assistance dogs are welcome at the event, there is a Dog drinking water facility available at the town park visitor centre.
Standing and Queueing: The event is free to enter and entirely outdoors/open air, you will not need to queue to access the event. There are public benches around the town park and in the upper event area but none in the lower arena. There will be many different food and drinks vendors at the event but due to the large volume of visitors expected there may be queues.
Attendants/Carers: As the event is free to enter there are no restrictions on the number of people entering. There is a wheelchair user viewing area overlooking the main event arena which will be limited to one attendant per wheelchair user.
